Corporate Social Responsibility

Our company prides itself for always being able to provide our farmers and collaborators with the best conditions for personal and financial growth as well as making a social impact in every community we work with and others around our areas.  

Most of our farmers and collaborators have been with us from the start, marking over 15+ years of creating a family type relationship with everyone we work with, from our farmers to our clients who we also believe are part of our wonderful family.  Our farmers enjoy visits from our friends overseas, so come on over and meet our team and production areas! 

Cafinter has been constantly involved in building schools, roads and drying facilities around Guatemala.  We believe our program makes most of its impact by guaranteeing what we call “organic bonus” on each pound of product we purchase which is a significantly a better price than what they receive when selling in the conventional market locally.  This bonus, found in all of the products we purchase, has been directly involved in our growth in production areas and farmers as well as growth in each community we have been involved with.  Along with our pre harvest finance program, social projects, training and organic bonus our farmers along with the 300 + families are able to earn a better living wage and continue to grow their farms and production year after year.  In Peten the purchase of ramon seeds has dramatically improved living conditions in the area as it was never used before and now provides an extra income for every family in the natural reserve area. 

We take care of our collaborators. Our facilities and working conditions ensure that the collaborators are provided with a safe working environment for them to flourish and grow alongside the company.  It is because of this that we are certified in SMETA IV Pillars as well as USRA every year.
